I have not experienced any side effects and trust totally doctors prescribing this medication.

Take one a day to keep effects of stomach acid down and take two if I've had mild spicy food

No side effects at present but continue to monitor magnesium and calcium levels and also vitamin B12 levels. Have been taking lansoprazole 30mg per day for 9 months

I have been on lansoprazole for 6/7 years and have had only 2 occasions of acid re-flux.
At no time have I ever suffered any side effects
Profile
Lansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
